Brimbor Consulting is an independent, vendor‑neutral IT consultant helping UK organisations turn complex technology into clear decisions. The work focuses on outcomes: stabilise what you have, simplify what you run, and align every decision with business goals.
We specialise in making complex environments easier to understand and manage. Whether you’re dealing with legacy systems, organisational change, rapid growth or unclear responsibilities, you can expect an external and objective perspective that cuts through the noise and identifies what truly matters.
The role of IT consultant is often describe as similar to a General Practitioner in IT. A GP has a broad, reliable understanding of many areas, can diagnose issues quickly and knows when a situation needs a specialist. In the same way, audits bring clarity across your entire technology environment, identify what truly matters, and recommend the right solutions or experts when necessary. The goal is to connect the dots, streamline decisions and ensure that every intervention, whether handled by me or a specialist, is coordinated, efficient and aligned with your organisation’s objectives.
What Brimbor Consulting do
The primary goal is to support SMEs and mid‑market organisations with structured IT audits and delegated IT leadership. When needed, we provide temporary enterprise‑level capabilities (project reinforcement, roadmapping, multi‑site migrations, solution architecture) without vendor bias.
This includes:
- Evaluating team capabilities and identifying training or structural gaps
- Recommending improvements to processes, governance, and documentation
- Supporting recruitment by defining the right roles and helping identify the right talent
- Guiding decision-makers through technical choices in a clear, accessible way
The objectives are always the same: helping enterprises run more efficiently, make informed decisions, and build an IT environment they can rely on.
How we work
Although we work independently, close collaboration with internal departments (finance, HR, management, communications) and with trusted external specialists when a project requires deeper expertise in a specific area is essential. No single person can do everything, the real strength lies in identifying the right experts and coordinating them to deliver solutions that are robust, realistic, and aligned with your business goals.
We follow a remote-first approach across Europe, which keeps delivery fast and efficient. When it’s valuable or required to do so, additional on-site sessions for workshops, audits, team engagement, or high-impact decision points can be organised.
The approach
The work is driven by three principles:
Transparency
- Clear communication
- Honest assessment
- No vendor ties
Pragmatism
- No unnecessary complexity
- Solutions you can run and maintain
- Right-size for your needs
Meaningful results
- Prioritised actions
- Documented decisions
- Measurable improvements
Let’s work together
If you need clarity on next steps, begin with an independent IT audit. If you need ongoing leadership without hiring a full‑time manager, choose delegated IT.
